I've got old ghost images that I want to ultimately convert to virtual images. Does any know how to convert.gho (Norton Ghost 2003 files) to.v2i (Symantec System recovery files) or to.vhd (Microsoft Virtual PC 2008 files)? Office Office 365 Exchange Server. We have a lot of GHO images from which we create VM's. To the unavailability of the Mouse in PE Environment the whole thing failed as i was not able to invoke the Ghost.exe using Keyboard. Here is a VPC and Virtual Server vmc to Hyper-V settings converter:.

Norton Ghost backup files are commonly saved using the GHO file extension. These files are used to create an exact copy of a hard drive or whole device. This copy is used as a full backup of the hard drive. The program formerly known as Norton Ghost has been renamed to Ghost Solution Suite which contains the same functionalities.

Technical details of GHO files
GHO files contain all data from a hard drive or device as an exact copy. This allows users to restore either individual files or a complete hard drive or device's content. The copies of a device are saved as some kind of image file format. Since it is limited to the maximum DOS file size of 2 GB, bigger files are split into smaller files that each do not exceed the file size of 2 GB.
